Artistic direction and emcee
Is this your first Imaginary Ball? Let our artistic director and host, and his co-host, tell you more about what to expect on May 27.
“The Imaginary Ball is first and foremost a big party where our donors and therapeutic clowns can finally meet. It’s also an opportunity for our guests to feel the tangible impact of our work. I like to say that our Ball is an event that truly makes you feel good! I draw on all my experience as a therapeutic clown, performer and director gained over the past 20 years to offer you a truly unique experience, just like my colleagues do daily with their work on the field.”
Philippe Thibaudeau, Artistic Director
Clown, therapeutic clown, actor, singer, author and stage director
“For over 20 years, I’ve been madly in love with the Dr Clown Foundation! It was love at first sight, and it continues to captivate my heart, body and mind.
It was first in the field, as a therapeutic clown for over 16 years, that I experienced this passion in the company of artists with kind hearts and nurturing imaginations. A powerful love that demanded, in addition to artistic talent, openness, presence, humility, joy and a lot of energy! As with all genuine love, we received, too: the smile of a mother at the bedside of her child in intensive care, the new-found energy of a little one undergoing cancer treatment, or the moving eyes of a 92-year-old lady who tenderly reminded us of the lyrics to love songs.
It is now a joy to continue to love the Dr Clown Foundation as a teacher and to co-host this Imaginary Ball which, thanks to you, will be transformed into tangible actions for those experiencing an episode of vulnerability.”
